The most wonderful thing happened today. My little Kale snail is have a difficult time with speech. It has really be tough for all of us, he gets so frustrated when we don't understand him... but today as we were driving home from the store at night, the Christmas lights were twinkling everywhere. Kale was staring out the window. Our street is all lit up with Christmas lights and Kale busts out with, "OH WOW! I yike it!" I cried all the way home as he repeated it over and over again. Now, each night before bed we sit at the dinning room window and exclaim, "OH WOW I YIKE IT!"
My little darling. These are the moments I will remember always. These special moments shared with you sitting on my lap staring at Christmas lights. You have such a tender heart and I am so grateful I am your mother.

Ok my little one, today was a little weird. It was the first day you did not take a nap. It was the strangest thing. We went out for lunch and shopping with Desi and I thought for sure you would crash in the car, but you were wide awake and chatting all the way home in your sweet little garbled words. I am wondering, is it time for you to stop napping? YOu seemed to go to bed a little easier. Hmm, have to wait and see! What a little man you are!

Laughter...
My sweet snail!~ I was reading Kale a story today with some colored mice in it. He kept pointing to this one mouse and saying, "wasdis" I kept replying, "it's pink." and he would laugh and laugh and laugh. This continued for about 15 minutes and after that time I was crying we were both laughing so hard. His laughter lightens my soul and makes this tough old world seem all worth it. Every time I watch him laugh I am reminded of why I married Matt. Kale crinkles his eyes the same why Matt does, sounds just like Matt does, and has the purest laugh, just like Matt does. How I love my crazy boys!

This weekend was so wonderful. Matt, Kale, and I went to Kurrville for the weekend. My sisters Rosie and Tina rented a cabin up there. It was perfect. The Cabin had a large front porch where all the kids played for hours. We spent a lot of time at the dam. Kale and Matt were so cute. Matt would skip a rock and Kale would clap. Then he would scream until Matt gave him a rock to throw. We mostly just sat in the shallow water and threw rocks and watched the minnows all weekend :)
I love seeing things through Kale's eyes, everything is so exciting for him.

LOL ok, so, I am having a hard time getting Kale to eat green veggies. He loves peppers, corn, and carrots as long as they are in something. He has been eating quesadillas everyday for lunch because he just loves them. SOOOO, today I thought I would be smart and I ground up some veggies and put them in the quesadilla. Kale took one bite and made a "MOM THIS IS DISGUSTING" face and spit it out. Then he opened up the quesadilla and scraped out the veggies and ate the rest :)
SOOO, I thought to myself....WHAT WOULD MATT DO??? Matt would give him a cookie :) So, I made so fat free sugar free chocolate pudding dumped in 1/4 a cup of ground up veggies and POOF in less than a second the bowl was licked clean!
HOORAY FOR PUDDING!
